EY’s Annual Cyber Risk Event took place on 25 January 2018 at Dogpatch Labs in the CHQ Building, where our highly experienced international EY and external guest speakers provided insightful coverage of the latest trends and developments in cyber risk, including:

  • The official launch of EY’s 20th Global Information Security Survey findings
  • Immediate and future implications for businesses in Ireland including significant regulatory changes, such as GDPR, NISD and upcoming elevated capital reserve requirements for cyber risk
  • An update from the Director of the National Cyber Security Centre, Ireland’s national competent authority for cyber security established under the EU Network and Industry Systems Directive – this is one of the first addresses to an open industry audience on what businesses can anticipate from the NCSC over the coming years
  • An update on the personal aspects of cyber risk for parents and children from CyberSafeIreland, a not-for-profit organisation we support that is dedicated to creating a safer online world for kids
  • Insights on threats and leading edge solutions from a range of high-profile expert speakers in a panel discussion

Our exceptional speaker line-up included:

  • Richard Browne, Director of Ireland’s National Cyber Security Centre
  • Cliona Curley, Programme Director, CyberSafeIreland

Our panel discussion was facilitated by Hugh Callaghan, EY Associate Partner, Cyber Risk Advisory, and included Mike and Richard, who were joined by two highly experienced industry executives from top Irish companies:
