At EY, we are expanding our Cloud Engineering and DevOps Group and specifically building our Technology Consulting practice. We are recruiting an experienced Cloud Engineering Lead to join our technology consulting practice. This is a Manager / Senior Manager level role guiding clients on cloud engineering solutions and architecture for large-scale cloud transformation projects. Most of your time will be spent embedded with our client’s team and we’ll look to you to provide them with a unique perspective on how they must continue to innovate and remain competitive with cloud and DevOps / CI/CD technologies. Part of the role is also to grow our local cloud engineering capabilities through coaching and recruitment.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Experience in technical leadership roles at a consulting/professional services company, cloud provider, or customer environment in the EU/UK region.
  • Minimum of 5 years advising on and / or implementing Cloud Engineering solutions along and have led the transition from monolithic architectures to more loosely coupled solutions leveraging Cloud Native and microservices
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with or for one or more of the major cloud providers
  • Experience creating detailed BoM and TCO analysis for cloud-based services.
  • Implementing and securing PaaS, IaaS and SaaS applications with HA and DR as given
  • Experience with container orchestration systems e.g. Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Cloud concepts IaaS, PaaS, SaaS with experience in provisioning cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) environments using IaC – Terraform, ARM template
  • Performing risk-assessment and mitigation activities for public/private/hybrid cloud deployments
  • Designing and deploying highly available web applications. Virtualization, containers, orchestration, microservices architecture
  • Excellent leadership and teaming skills. Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into robust solutions
  • Ability to act as a client contact on project engagements; run client status and other client meetings
  • Relevant industry certifications.
