On Wednesday 15 November, the IFRS 17 for Insurers Breakfast Seminar will take place, covering a range of key topics and issues for insurers, including:

• Key aspects of IFRS 17 – a re-fresh of technical requirements and overview of the measurement models.
• Leveraging Solvency II –  discussion of areas of potential leverage with Solvency II reporting processes, including identifying the key similarities and differences in terms of Balance Sheet presentation, Income statement presentation and required disclosures.
• Next steps for implementation – to cover an overview of the design principles which should be developed in advance of IFRS 17 implementation, a guide to developing a blueprint for IFRS 17 implementation, and suggested approaches to addressing the transition issues presented by IFRS 17.
