Our flagship interactive cyber event ‘Securing the Digital World – The Path to Cyber Resilience’ took place on Wednesday, 18 January 2017.
This highly successful seminar marked the launch of EY’s dedicated, state-of-the-art Advanced Security Centre (ASC). Our cyber security service capability has now doubled in size, establishing EY as the first ‘Big 4’ professional services firm in Ireland to have an in-market Security Operations Centre serving our clients – thus helping to pave the way towards cyber resilience.
A range of high-calibre experienced international speakers provided insightful analysis of the latest trends and developments in cyber risk to help you address the cyber security challenges you face.
Our speaker line-up included:
Steve Holt, our EMEIA Financial Services Cyber Security Lead Partner, presented for the first time to a European audience on the findings and insights of EY’s Global Information Security Survey, now in its 19th year and one of the longest running and most respected surveys of its kind
James Phillippe, EY US Cyber Security Lead Partner, spoke about developments on the leading edge of cyber security for large companies including challenges and solutions
Hugh Callaghan, EY Ireland Cyber Security Leader, discussed the immediate implications for businesses in Ireland including upcoming regulatory changes
Seamus Murphy, Chief Digital Officer at AIB, spoke about their digital transformation journey towards cyber resilience over recent years
Cliona Curley, Programme Director for CyberSafeIreland, a not-for-profit organisation, spoke about how we can equip our children with the knowledge to stay safe and avoid harm online
A Discussion Panel of senior cyber security and digital professionals from cross-industry backgrounds provided commentary and fielded interactive questions from the audience
Our emphasis was on providing an accessible, business-oriented perspective on cyber risk with the opportunity to pose the questions that were important to you and your business.
