EY Financial Services are honoured to sponsor the 2023 Women of Concern Annual Awards Luncheon, taking place in Dublin on the 13th October.
This programme celebrates the lives of women and girls as powerful agents of change and raises vital funds to continue Concern’s drive towards gender equality in 25 of the world’s poorest countries. Each year Women of Concern pays tribute to an individual who embodies justice, generosity and compassion in their work and daily lives. This year that honour goes to Ifrah Ahmed, an Irish/Somali activist and campaigner who has dedicated her life to helping to eradicate female genital mutilation (FGM) and to ending gender-based violence, working in Ireland and Somalia. In 2022, Women of Concern raised over €132,000 to support Concern’s work. All profits from this event will be invested in Concern’s work to end extreme poverty and address gender inequality worldwide, creating progress for us all.
Our global corporate responsibility platform, EY Ripples, helps to support organisations who promote equality and inclusion, through partnerships, sponsorships, pro bono work and fundraising. These organisations operate across social entrepreneurship, sport, LGBT+ inclusion, ability inclusion, gender equality and mental health inclusion, among others.
