Aidan Tiernan is an audit partner in EY’s Financial Services Office, with more than 20 years’ experience in the provision of audit and advisory services to the financial services industry. He specialises in asset management where his clients include Irish regulated funds, offshore funds and fund service providers. He has also advised a number of fund administrators on the establishment of their Irish operators.

As a member of the EY’s EMEIA and Global Regulated Funds Steering Groups, Aidan focuses on the impact of regulatory developments including UCITS IV, UCITS V and AIFMD.

Aidan is a graduate of University College Dublin, where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He also holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. He has made presentations to a number of international conferences on the funds industry and published a variety of articles on the development of the industry in Ireland. He is a past chairman of the Technical Committee of Irish Funds, a current member of the Alternative Investment Management Association and the EY representative on Irish Funds’ European and Asian Distribution Committees.
