Nadia Chiarina is a Director for Ireland Financial Services consulting. She is responsible for delivering EY’s Sustainable Finance solutions to financial services clients and contributing to the development of a sustainable finance market in Ireland as part of EY’s Sustainable Finance consulting practice.
Nadia has close to twenty years of experience in the financial sector and investment management industry, working with multilateral organization, Pan-Asian regional bank, private equity fund and consulting firm. She has extensive and diverse experience in blending investment management expertise and ESG/sustainability know-how. Her work included mobilization of capital through sustainability instruments, sustainability alignment framework development, as well as regulatory advisory and capacity building in the area of green finance.
Nadia holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, an M.Sc. in Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance (from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, and a B. Eng in Industrial Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology. She holds a certification in Sustainable and Climate Risk (SCR) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
Nadia is driven to play an active role in the transition towards a low-carbon and more sustainable world. She strongly believes financial institutions hold significant power in this process and thus by building the capacity of the financial sector to implement the necessary changes – embedding climate and other ESG considerations into their strategy, operating model, and risk framework – she hopes that her work will make an impact. She is keen to continue learning to hone her expertise in this area and at the same time to share knowledge with others.
