Sean MacHale is a Partner in our Climate Change & Sustainability Services (CCaSS) practice.
He is responsible for many elements of end-to-end ESG strategy, from assisting financial institutions in building transition to Net-Zero plans, to driving strategies on reporting.
Sean’s professional background is in investment banking, and in his last role he was the Head of Sustainability strategy and Group Climate lead for a leading Irish financial institution.
In that role he worked closely with risk, reporting and the business units to deliver strategy, product development and channel delivery to facilitate the flow of sustainable capital to transition customers to the low carbon economy. Sean has extensive experience in capital markets, risk evaluation and delivering transformational business change programmes for clients within financial services.
Sean has been a guest lecturer to masters classes in Sustainability and Investment & Treasury Risk.
Sean is passionate about assisting financial institutions in identifying their strategies for adopting a successful ESG framework from product to reporting, as those that do so are likely to have ultimately better corporate performance. Most importantly, this drives a significantly positive impact on the economy, environment and surrounding society.
