Sheldon D’Souza is an Associate Partner in EY’s Financial Services Organisation with over 15 years’ assurance experience. He has been part of the asset management practice of EY Dublin since 2005, having originally joined the firm in 1999 working first in Karachi then Dubai. Sheldon’s current client-base is primarily Irish regulated funds, offshore hedge funds and asset management companies.
Sheldon advises many of Europe’s largest Hedge Fund Managers on fund structuring, regulation, valuation issues and disclosure. He has also assisted clients in developing solutions for various technical areas such as ASC 740, SEC Custody Rules and Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD). His wide range of experience includes investment pricing models and the audit and valuation of a wide variety of investment product types.
Sheldon has been involved with various sub-groups both within the firm and the asset management community, and is currently on the Irish Funds Industry Association’s Financial Reporting committee. Sheldon has extensive knowledge and experience in IFRS, FRS and US GAAP and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
