Now in its twelfth year, EBA Day 2017 took place from 20-21 June at the Dublin Convention Centre and comprised keynotes, panel discussions and debates featuring more than 80 of the world’s leading experts in payments discussing key topics and new challenges driving the business in Europe.

EYs leading team of advisors were on hand at Exhibition Stand 10 to answer any queries around payments, innovation, technology and operations while Hamish Thomas, EMEIA Payments Leader, participated in an interesting and insightful panel discussion on the path from open APIs to Open Banking. Speaking at the event, Hamish encouraged participants to put the customer at the heart of open banking, and said that the propensity to adopt fintech products has doubled in the last 18 months. Hamish said that increasingly, conversations around fintech and PSD 2 are seguing into talks around collaborations and strategic partnerships.
