EY Financial Services is proud to sponsor the Women in Finance Virtual Summit, which takes place on November 19th. Partner and Head of Assurance Martina Keane will join other industry leaders from across Ireland to share knowledge and help shape a future for the industry underpinned by inclusivity and opportunity for all.

The event will explore topics including business and strategy, company culture and policies, leadership and diversity initiatives, and share ways in which the finance world can and will shift in the near future.

Martina – who was awarded Accountancy Leader of the year at the 2019 Women in Finance Awards – will take part in a fireside chat on the topic of 2020/2021 leadership styles, along with Maria Mileder, Global Head of Innovation at PayPal. Moderated by Melíosa O’Caoimh, Country Head at Northern Trust, Ireland, some of the areas for discussion include:

  • Discussing the importance of resilience, adaptability and digital presence
  • How to lead remotely and in the face of adversity
  • Why are EQ, IQ and communication skills the ultimate triple threat?
  • Lessons learned – what worked and what did not?
  • What does leadership look like in 2021?

Martina leads EY Financial Services Assurance, specialising in banking and insurance. She works extensively across the global insurance and banking landscape and has significant experience leading large teams in an environment where there is on-going change

In her role, Martina is responsible for the development and leadership of financial services professionals and is passionate about driving innovation and developing high performing teams

Martina commented:

I am delighted to support the Women in Finance Virtual Summit and look forward to a stimulating and educational schedule of panels and talks.

At EY, we understand that equality is the cornerstone of a successful workplace and we work hard to foster a culture of inclusion across the firm so that all our people have the opportunity to realise their full potential.

I firmly believe that delivering the best possible service to clients requires a diverse pool of talent and thought, and that the highest performing teams are those that harness the power of different opinions and perspectives.”
